August Update

It’s the last Sunday of the month, so I’m giving an update on where I am with my writing. I’m within two chapters of finishing my edits on Corruption of Blood, Book 3 of the Blake Heira series. The next step will be beta reading, which is where people like you can get an electronic copy of the book for the purposes of giving me feedback. If you’re interested in being a beta reader, let me know either on Facebook or in the comments below. If you want, I’ll even list your name in the acknowledgements.

While I could put out several posts on how to be a beta reader, here’s a great video from Jenna Moreci on the topic:

There is some work involved on your part, specifically you’ll need to answer some questions. Just so I know what you mean, there may be a couple rounds. I want to understand everything you see and feel to make my book as good as possible.

National Novel Writing Month is also coming up, and I haven’t finished my novel from last year, yet. I’m about 60% through it, but I’m going to work on it while the beta reading process is going on for Corruption of Blood. I’ve updated by books page with more information about Arena of Night.

That said, I’m going to press on with preparing to draft book 5 of the series this November. The preliminary title is Casualty of Silence. I’ll post more once I’ve made some decisions on plot and characters.

I really appreciate the support I get from everyone. Thank you so much. I’ll see you next Sunday!
